Why We Started

We started Sofa Pup because we know how quickly our pets become part of the family.

Like many pet owners, we noticed that dogs and cats love being close to us — especially when we're relaxing on the sofa. But our furniture wasn't always quite as happy about it. Between muddy paws, shedding, scratching, and pets simply taking over the best spot on the couch, we started looking for something that would work better for both pets and their people.

We couldn't find exactly what we were looking for: something comfortable for our pets, practical for everyday life, and nice enough to actually want in our home.

So, we decided to create it ourselves.
